At Your Service!

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

“As shepherds of this sacred ministry, we are humbled and honored to serve the Church of the Temple of God. Our hearts are committed to guiding each soul with love, truth, and compassion. Whether you're visiting for the first time or have journeyed with us for years, we pray that you find peace, purpose, and belonging here. May our church be a sanctuary where God's presence is felt, and His love is lived out.”

A Good Christian Servant and a Loving Brother in Christ

The Call to Faithful Servanthood and Christian Love

A true follower of Jesus Christ is not only one who believes in Him but also one who actively lives out their faith through service and love. The life of a Christian is marked by faithful obedience to the Lord and compassionate care for fellow believers. These two pillars—servanthood and brotherly love—are foundational to Christian living. As we are transformed by grace, we are called to be both good servants of Christ and loving brothers and sisters in the faith.

1. A Good Servant of the Lord Jesus Christ

Faithful in Obedience and Ministry

A good Christian servant seeks to please Christ above all. Their life is centered on obedience to God’s Word and fulfilling the purpose given to them by the Lord.– Matthew 25:21 (NKJV).  Jesus praised servants who were faithful and diligent. A good servant does not act for recognition but out of love and fear of God.– Colossians 3:23–24 (ESV)

They serve in humility, not for status or applause. Jesus Himself demonstrated this humility by washing His disciples’ feet (John 13:12–15), showing that no act of service is beneath the follower of Christ.

2. A Loving Christian to Brothers and Sisters in Christ

Genuine Love as Evidence of Discipleship

One of the clearest signs of a true Christian is love for fellow believers. This love is not mere emotion—it is sacrificial, patient, and enduring.– John 13:35 (NIV)

The early church was known for its radical love and unity (Acts 2:42–47). This model continues today in how Christians support, forgive, and walk with one another.–Romans 12:10 (NKJV)

True love among Christians reflects God’s love. It bears one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), forgives as Christ forgave (Colossians 3:13), and encourages in times of need (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

3. The Heart of Servanthood: Motivated by Love

Service and love are not separate. A good servant of Christ serves because he loves Christ—and this love overflows to others. – Galatians 5:13 (ESV)

Jesus summarized the Law into two commandments: love God and love your neighbor (Matthew 22:37–40). A life that honors Christ is one that serves with joy and loves with sincerity.

4. Unity in the Body of Christ Through Servanthood and Love

A good Christian servant strengthens the church, not just through work, but by building up the unity of the body. – 1 Corinthians 12:5, 27 (NIV)

Our roles may differ, but our goal is the same: to glorify God and build His Church. Serving in love fosters harmony, and loving service protects the church from division and selfish ambition.

5. Encouragement to Remain Steadfast

Faithful Christian living is not always easy, but Scripture promises that our labor in the Lord is never in vain. – 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV)

Even when unnoticed by the world, God sees every act of love and service. He will reward every faithful servant (Hebrews 6:10).

Conclusion: A Life That Pleases Christ

To be a good Christian servant and a loving brother or sister in Christ is to walk in the very path Jesus walked. It is to surrender to God’s will, serve humbly, love deeply, and live faithfully. – Colossians 3:23 (NIV)

Let each of us live such that Christ is glorified in our service and the world sees His love through our unity. In doing so, we fulfill the great calling of what it means to be a true Christian.
