When the Waiting Feels Endless

We live in a world of instant gratification. If a webpage takes more than three seconds to load, we get restless. If our food delivery is ten minutes late, we are checking the tracker with growing frustration. We hate to wait.
But what happens when the thing you are waiting on isn't a package or a text message, but a breakthrough?
What happens when you’re waiting for a prayer to be answered, a relationship to heal, or a door to finally open in your career?
In those moments of deep, agonizing silence, it’s easy to feel forgotten. We start to wonder if God is even listening. We look at the clock, look at our circumstances, and panic.
But as we shared in our recent ministry video: "He is never early, never late."
The Divine Timing
The Bible addresses this exact tension in Psalm 27:14:
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
Notice that the Psalmist doesn’t just say "wait." He says how to wait—with good courage. Godly waiting isn’t a passive, defeated sigh. It isn’t sitting in a corner, waiting for the worst to happen.
Waiting on the Lord is an act of fierce, courageous trust. It is the spiritual confidence that says, "I don’t see the answer yet, but I know the One who holds the key."
When you choose to wait with courage, God promises a beautiful exchange: He strengthens your heart. The waiting room of God isn't a punishment; it’s a greenhouse for your faith. It is where your spiritual roots grow deep enough to sustain the blessing that is coming.
The Gates His Love Will Open
The beautiful truth about God's timing is that His delays are never His denials. When the timing is right, His love will open every single gate that stands in your way.
Human effort can only force a door so far, but when God opens a gate, no man can shut it.
Are you feeling weary today?
Is the silence from heaven making you anxious?
Take a deep breath and remember: Wait on the Lord. His love is working behind the scenes. He is curating the perfect moment to step into your story. Trust His heartbeat when you cannot see His hand.
Reflect & Respond: What is one area of your life where you need to exchange anxious waiting for courageous trust today?
